Great Tips For A Cleaner Kitchen
21Jul 2014
Great Tips For A Cleaner KitchenWhen it comes to keeping your home clean, one of the main epicenters of the house will be the kitchen. It is also the messiest room, as the amount of food preparation that goes on in the kitchen naturally makes it a place that gets dirty. Whether it is spills form preparing the food, or grease settling on surfaces having been heated in a pan, it will all contribute to making the kitchen one of the most important rooms for cleaning, and if you have a few set things that you do every day, or at least every time you use the kitchen, then you will be much better set to have the place looking excellent at all times. For a start, there is the normal wipe down of the surfaces that you have used when cooking. This will ensure that you are not at risk of leaving spills and mess to dry and set in as stains. It will also be a great way to kill off any harmful bacteria that can be left form the dust or meat when you are cooking. Having a spotless kitchen is not an esthetically thing from the start, it is more to do with cleanliness in terms of ensuring that your food preparation is safe and not going to make anyone ill! Beyond the general wipe down, you should be sure to clean thoroughly in different way. Going over the shelves and ensuring that they are all cleaned every couple of weeks will ensure that the things stored on them will stay clean. You would also be surprised at how dirty the insides of cupboards can get. These are places that are rarely cleaned, unlike the surfaces, so having a look every now and again will ensure that you are getting the whole kitchen cleaned. In a similar vein, the fridge and the oven need to be attended to pretty carefully, as they can be a hotbed of dirt which will make weird smells in the room and potentially be dangerous. Cleaning the fridge is a bit of a hassle, but not nearly as much of a pain as cleaning the oven! You will find that the best way to clean the fridge is when you have little food in there, so that the process of taking it all out and putting it back in is less of a hassle. Once the fridge is empty it is pretty easy to clean. Simply wash up the removable shelves in a sink as if they were plates, and wipe down the inside of the fridge with a rough sponge and some washing up liquid. Be sure to rinse it out after however. If there are any lingering smells, then you should be sure to sprinkle baking soda in the fridge, as it will absorb the odors. Be sure to wipe it away after a few hours though! When you are cleaning the oven, it is essential that you wear gloves and use a strong oven cleaner. This is especially so if the oven is particularly dirty and the grease is all built up. You will find that you can leave the cleaner in place and that over time it will eat away at the hardened grease, doing your job for you. Leave it in place with the oven door closed for an hour before attacking it with a scrubbing brush. Should it remain tough to get rid of, you should re apply the cleaner, and let it have another go...
